A condom will decrease your risk, but there is no absolute guarantee. Most experts believe that the risk of getting HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases can be greatly reduced if a condom is used properly. Therefore, sex with a condom is not completely safe, but it is safer than without.
